- GLOSSARY OF VOLCANIC TERMS
Fragments of solid rock greater than 64 millimeters in diameter that are ejected during volcanic eruptions. Blocks are commonly composed of accessory fragments made up of crystallized magma associated with the eruption (e.g. pieces of a lava dome).
